Lance’s Blog: How to Think vs What to Think
As a matter of fact, Lance serves on the 5 Stones Anti-trafficking Taskforce Steering Committee as well as various nonprofit advisory boards. His commitment to combating exploitation of the vulnerable and ending modern-day slavery has taken him to Northern Iraq and opened up direct communications with the White House. Moreover, he recently joined Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s “Governor’s Response Against Child Exploitation (GRACE)” initiative. All these things are by God’s grace and for His glory.
Question One:
I came across one of your blog posts where you wrote about how to think vs what to think, and I couldn’t resist emailing you to have you on the show. What inspired you to write it?
Question Two:
Also, in the post you mentioned learning how to think when you were in prep school, but when you went to college you were told what to think. What’s the difference?
Question Three:
What are some ways culture is telling us what to think and how can we identify that?
Question Four:
Reason and logic are under attack these days. They are being touted as a white supremacist idea. How do you respond to that?
Question Five:
I’ve heard the term “freethinker” coming from Christians recently. Is that something the Bible encourages … freethinking?
Question Six:
Some will say that Christians are brainwashed into believing God exists. Can you explain what brainwashing is and whether this fits the narrative for Christianity?
Question Seven:
Lastly, I want to discuss where in the Bible we learn how to think. What does the Bible say about the mind?
